Project Setup

The steps to create all sample projects within Visual Basic .NET are as follows:

  1. Run Visual Sudio.NET

  2. On the Start tab click the "New Project" button

  3. In the "New Project" dialog box select the project type, for example "Visual Basic Project".
    In "Templates" select "Windows Application"
Enter a Name and Location then click "OK".

  4. From the "Tools" menu, select “Customize Toolbox...”

  5. From the "COM Components" tab on the "Customize Toolbox..." dialog box select the TeleTools controls required for your application (i.e. etLine, etPhone, etPlay, etRecord).
Be sure to select the correct library (ExceleTel TeleTools v3.7)

The TeleTools controls will be visible in the "Windows Forms" section of the Tool Box. Look for the following icons:

etLine

etPhone

etPlay

etRecord

You are now ready to add the TeleTools controls to your form(s).

Be sure to review the information in the sections Creating Controls Design-Time, Creating Controls at Run-Time and Why Serial Numbers Are Important section. This will explain how to use the AboutLoadSerialNumber properties to set the AboutSerialNumber properties.

Before using a TeleTools control it must be enabled. This is done by setting the Enabled or EnableControl property to True.
