PhoneRider® ISA is a
fully TAPI and Wave compliant single-line telephony board running under
Windows 95, 98, NT 4.0, and 2000. PhoneRider® ISA provides leading edge
voice and call processing features and a truly integrated foundation for
powerful desktop voice and call processing applications.
PhoneRider®
Firmware
PhoneRider®
Firmware runs on the board's DSP freeing the CPU of the host PC for other
tasks. It has three main modules:
- call progress
analysis
- signal processing
- echo cancellation
Call Progress
Analysis
As the call progresses, Handset on/off
hook, DTMFs, Dialtone, Ringback, Connected, Caller ID, Silence, Voice,
Busy, fax/modem, SIT events and tones are detected..

Echo Cancellation
PhoneRider® is equipped with three
independent device-specific echo cancellation algorithms for each of the
Telephone line, Handset and Speaker phone.
PhoneRider®
Drivers
PhoneRider® is
shipped with it's own Telephony Service Provider (TSP) and Wave driver.
These two drivers provide access to PhoneRider® hardware functions
through standard Microsoft application programming interfaces:
- Telephone API (TAPI)
- Wave API
All applications using
these APIs (including TeleTools) will be operational with the PhoneRider
ISA board.
